Avjet Holding Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively "AVJET" or the "Company") recognize the importance of protecting personal information. Personal information refers to any information regarding an individual that directly or indirectly identifies said individual ("Personal Information").

 

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes the measures put in place by AVJET for protecting the Personal Information it collects, uses, discloses, processes and retains in connection with the operation of its website (https://www.avjet.ca/?lang=en) and its day-to-day business activities. 

 

This policy is defined and intended to comply with the provisions of the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (APPIPS), as amended by S.Q. 2021, c. 25 and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

AVJET collects only the Personal Information it requires for the purposes of its activities.

 

This includes information relating to your identity, such as your name, physical address, e-mail, telephone numbers, company name, demographic information and information relating to your use of the Website.

 

AVJET collects Personal Information in the following ways:

Most of the Personal Information collected is that which is provided directly via:

• Our online contact form;

• Specific requests made for services;

• Submission of an application for a position available on site or online through our partner BambooHR.

AVJET may also collect information relating to visitors of the Website, including the identifier of the computer equipment used (IP address). This information is collected through the use of cookies. These files make it possible to recognize users of our Website when they access it and when they move from one page to another. Where required, AVJET will seek consent prior to collecting information.

 

3. Through our Partners:

 

AVJET may also collect information relating to its partners’ clients as part of the execution of AVJET's contract with those partners. AVJET may have access to such Personal Information in order to communicate with individuals regarding their baggage or to collect fees for travel, transportation or services or to identify individual passengers for check-in on our partners' flights. AVJET does not retain Personal Information that is accessible through its partners' technology platforms.

 

3. CONSENT

 

AVJET collects, uses and discloses Personal Information for the purposes identified at the time of collection, for example when an individual completes an information request via the Contact us page of the Website.

 

The following are examples of, but not limited to, the purposes for which AVJET collects Personal Information:

• Manage requests relating to the services offered;

• Personalize and adapt the browsing experience on the Company's Website;

• Comply with regulatory and legal obligations;

• Confirm the identity of individuals, verify the accuracy of Personal Information and update it.

3. it is necessary in order to prove or protect legal rights;

4. as part of a commercial transaction, to potential buyers if the company is sold.

 

5. WHERE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IS STORED

 

The servers containing Personal Information are located in Quebec, Canada. However, it is possible that the communication of Personal Information to certain technological solution providers may result in the transfer of such information outside of Quebec. In such cases, AVJET will:

• carry out all necessary risk analyses relating to the protection of Personal Information;

• validate in advance the applicable laws and practices for the protection of Personal Information applicable in the relevant jurisdiction and ensure that your Personal Information is adequately protected.

 

6. RETENTION AND DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

AVJET has implemented measures to ensure compliance with its obligations to retain and destroy Personal Information.

 

Personal Information collected by AVJET is retained only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it is collected.

 

Notwithstanding the foregoing, AVJET will retain your Personal Information when such retention is required to comply with applicable legal obligations, in addition to those specific to the protection of Personal Information.

 

7. MEASURES TO PROTECT PERSONAL INFORMATION WITHIN THE COMPANY

 

AVJET has implemented physical, organizational, contractual and technological security measures to adequately protect Personal Information from theft, loss, unauthorized access, unauthorized transfer, unauthorized copying or alteration.

 

AVJET employees are bound by confidentiality agreements. Information Security and Privacy training and awareness is provided to AVJET employees on a regular basis. IT systems comply with industry-recommended security frameworks and protocols.

 

8. THE RIGHTS OF WEBSITE USERS

 

As an individual whose Personal Information has been collected by AVJET, you may exercise the following rights:

 

Right to access, correct or complete your Personal Information: AVJET makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the Personal Information it collects is accurate and complete for the purposes for which it is to be used. You may access your Personal Information, verify its accuracy and amend it if necessary, subject to exceptions provided by law. Your request for access or rectification must be sent to the Company’s Privacy Officer using the contact details in section 10. Your request will be processed no later than thirty (30) days following the date of receipt of your written request.

 

Right to withdraw consent: You may withdraw your consent to the use of your Personal Information by AVJET for purposes that are not essential to the management and administration of its services. It will generally not be possible to withdraw your consent to the use of your Personal Information for a purpose relating to the management and administration of the products and services without terminating your contract or use of the Website.

 

Any request to withdraw consent must be sent to the Privacy Officer, whose contact details can be found in section 10.

 

Right to file a complaint: Any questions regarding your Personal Information or complaints regarding non-compliance with the principles set out in this policy should be sent to the Privacy Officer, whose contact details are given in section 10.

This policy may be amended from time to time to maintain compliance with applicable law and to reflect any changes to the Personal Information collection process. AVJET recommends that its users check the Policy from time to time to ensure that they are aware of any updates.
